Andrew Rosenzweig, MD FACP

Dr. Rosenzweig is a full-time geriatrician and department of medicine faculty member at Abington Memorial Hospital. He serves as associate director of the geriatric medicine fellowship at AMH and is a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Drexel University School of Medicine. In addition, he is medical director (CMD certification pending) of a dual certified long term care facility as well as medical director of a licensed home care agency. He is a certified diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine in both internal medicine and geriatric medicine. After receiving his MD from Temple University School of Medicine, Dr. Rosenzweig completed his internal medicine residency at Boston University Medical Center and then a fellowship in geriatric medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. When not maintaining a practice spanning inpatient, office-based, long term care, comprehensive geriatric assessment, and home-based care, Dr. Rosenzweig is actively involved in education at the resident and fellow level as well as conducting a variety of research projects on models of post-hospitalization home health practices, inpatient hip fracture algorithm development and Vitamin D supplementation in the long term care setting. In addition, he co-chairs the POLST steering committee at AMH where implementation and integration of the POLST program is in progress. Dr. Rosenzweig was recently awarded the title of Fellow of the American College of Physicians, serves on the council of young physicians for the southeastern PA chapter of the ACP and is a member of the Board of Directors, COSAR representative and president-elect of the Eastern PA Geriatrics Society. Most, recently he was accepted as one of three scholars in Mount Sinai School of Medicine’s Longitudinal Reynolds Geriatric Faculty Development Scholars Program.
